Over the years, WINN has successfully implemented a wide range of projects in partnership with local, national, and international organizations. These projects have focused on protection, education, livelihoods, peacebuilding, GBV prevention, disability inclusion, and humanitarian response across Borno State and North-East Nigeria.
In partnership with CBM International and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ), this project focuses on improving the livelihood and social integration of refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees and host communities in north-eastern Nigeria, with a special focus on women and persons/children with disabilities, through inclusive access to quality education and vocational training. It’s implemented in 20 communities across 4 LGAs in Borno state.
Funded by UNDP, this project (Comprehensive Approach to Empowering Women and Youth for Sustainable Peace in Borno State) works to enhance community resilience by promoting peacebuilding, social cohesion, and the active participation of women and youth in conflict-affected communities. Implemented in 6 communities across 2 LGAs of Borno State.
